I prefer Ocean Lakes. Biggest of the three and also all pull thru sites and you get to pick you specific site when you book.

Hitchhiker you were right. Gonna pickup a 04' Prowler 5th wheel next week. Dealer and I worked out an agreeable trade and he threw in a B&W companion fifth wheel hitch for my gooseneck hitch in the truck.

I noticed this morning the OC website had changed and had the online ressies. I love booking the individual sites with the descriptions. I booked the old way for next summer a few weeks ago but our friends booked online last night for the same week and got the last site in the I section.

I agree when she locks up in 3rd gear the engine is in it's peak pulling mode. Mine locks out about 3000 rpms and goes up the hill as fast a I want until the stupid things shifts and dies!!

Gonna attempt to build bike rack for truck this weekend!
I found these racks that basically you put the front tire into and an arm locks over them and locks the tire in. They are only about 12 inches wide and 2 feet tall. Their meant to be mounted to wood or concrete. I like the PVC rack that I saw posted on here but I have a quad cab dodge and the bed is too short with my toolbox for it.
I'm considering mounting the racks I found on top of the tool box so the front wheel of the bikes ride on top of the tool box and the reat tire in the bed. I'd then run a strap over the neck of the bike to hold the rear tires from flying out of the truck if something were to happen. This should leave me room in the truck bed for stuff. It will only be a pain if I need to get into the toolbox on the road.
Not sure if it's gonna work, so I guess I'll know tomorrow night.

I put mine on the right so that if anything physically happens to me driving the wife can lock the trailer brakes down to possibly help stop the truck.

Would also suggest looking at an Equalizer brand WD hitch. That is what I run, but I've also heard great reviews of the Blue Ox.

We're heading to Lakewood in three weeks from today! We'll be in block 1 middle. Had a terrible ant problem last year in a spot on the lake back from the ocean. Did you have any problems this year?

I have the hemi and a 2500. I get between 7-9 towing my 7500 lb trailer. Your not going to get mileage from a small block toting itself and 7500 lbs. Just gotta suck it up or drop some change for a diesel.

We bought a membership at a local membership only campground associated with Thousand Trails. It's only 15 minutes from home. We paid less than what we have spent in two trips so far this year in gas for the membership. We'll be camping more this year just closer to home.

My base model RV no options low retail is $15,500
Dealers RV high retail optioned out is $15,400.

Need some opinion on a potential trade
Have a 2007 Dutchmen 29Q-GS travel trailer. Like new condition. Per NADA (know this isn't the best but all I have right now) book without any options is:
Low Retail $15,500
Looking to move to a 5th wheel and found a used model.
A 2005 surveryor 240 BH 5th wheel. Also in mint condition.
Low Retail is $12,770
The are basically optioned alike. What kind of trade would you expect to get from the dealer?
